The Math Museum features programs specially designed for you and your family. Some programs can be enjoyed by parents, youngsters, and educators together, while others are geared to either adult or child levels. Many programs involve a hands-on project that the participants can take home.
The program topics include: Videospheres, Tangrams, Origami, Math in Navigation, Math in Architecture, Egg Decorating, Calendars, Paper Airplanes, Music and Math...and more!
Mathematics Resource Library
The Math Museum has a large library of math resources to assist you on student projects, reports, and teacher curriculum development. Originally begun with founder Goudreau's own books, the Library has grown through donations from educators, scientists, and engineers. Appointments can be made to use these books on the premises, both by individuals and by entire school classes. A subject file has been set up to facilitate searching for particular topics.
Fee: $2 for non-members; Free for members
The Math Museum is open for visits most Saturdays from September to June from noon until 3 p.m. Visitors may try out puzzles and games, view geometric models, purchase items at the Museum Store, and use the math library. It is suggested that you call ahead to confirm these hours.
Fee: $2 for non-members; Free for members.
